I am not so thrilled about the picnic areas in summer since recently it has been invaded by folks who think that loud music is the way to enjoy a picnic.
Honestly, I did not expected it is possible to have such great time in just a park.
Beautiful park. Has everything that you could want. Boat slip (sail/non-motorized), walking trails, biking, sports fields (ice Hockey, tennis, baseball and even cricket). You can rent a row boat or a peddle boat between memorial day and labor day. There are fairs and festivals (the Italian American fair is my favorite, the Indian fair has great food).
Went to the skating rink on the spacious grounds of mercer county park. What a beautiful park and facility. Boat ramp, bike paths, picnic groves and parks.
Nice clean park, with lots of local events and concerts in the summer. Decent dog park, with Good people at it. Also quite good for pokehunting if you need that magic carp candy.
We hired a kayak and took a trip on Mercer Lake. We saw sunbathing turtles, a preying heron and - the most impressive - an eagle. It was the first time in our lives we encountered the eagle.
Every four years, you end up with the US Olympic team practising here. A thrill to see future Olympians on their path to Olympic glory.
Large park with nice long paths for biking or hiking. Great big lake for fishing, disc golfing, and even a wedding venue! A lot of people have family picnics and families go there a lot so it can be crowded, but overall a very nice park
The park is perfect place to spend time actively.
