AWFUL experience at this place today. The Indian lady at the front desk was rude and condescending. I came home, related the experience to my dad, who said she tried to get HIM to use air freight for a package to NYC. That's right. Air freight. To NYC! Look at allllll the above comments, it's a wonder this place stays in business. Last time i ever use this place, my dad walked out and went to FedEx.
It's Christmas time, and I needed to ship a box of gifts down to a friend in Florida. I figure, NJ to Florida, and a large box, it won't be cheap. Maybe 20 to 30 dollars.
Umm, that would be a NO. Apparently, customers are optional at this place.
Great experience!!! When I arrived the store was about to close but the kind lady opened the door for us and helped me pick the box from my car trunk. Professional and quick service!!! I would recommend this store.
Do not ever go to this UPS. You will be treated badly, and be taken advantage of, and wind up paying MUCH more than you will anywhere else. Don't let them bully you. Don't go here.
Went in to order business cards. Wanted to discuss design options, lay-out, font, etc. but was told by the counter person (a polite young woman) that "I don't know how to do that...can you come back when my manager is here?"
She measured my items, plugged some numbers into the computer, and told me "two hundred dollars." My heart broke. I tried asking about different sized boxes, "no, all your things won't fit." I tried asking not priority mail, "it is still over a hundred dollars." I tried asking, well why is it so expensive? Is it because it's going all the way to Florida? "The weight and box size." Ok. I can put it in a smaller box maybe? "No. It will not fit. You need at least an 18x18x18.
This is the 3rd time that I attempted to use their services and although the sign reads open at 8:30 they are not! Today was there 3rd strike and I just want to let them know that they lost 3 customer's this morning. Also every other store has their phone number listed somewhere on the store windows, they do not. I took the time to look up their phone number to call and complain, but I figured I would write a review instead! I understand things happen but 3 random times and they are not open when I gave up at 8:40 this morning. Never again!
I will never go back to this store. The woman was rude, condescending, and lied to my face. She told me my items would barely fit in an 18x box, and I got it in a 16x with plenty of room, no squishing my things, nothing. She lied. She lied to my face.
I go in and there's Nick, some stoner guy working the desk. He doesn't know how to measure my items to fit a box. So his manager came out, an older Indian lady.
I cannot stress enough how terrible the service here was. I mean, I understand price gouging from companies, like their "you pay for the tape" policy. I get that. What I don't understand is how something that could be shipped for less that 22 dollars was quoted to me (before packaging, boxing, taping, tax etc) at 200 dollars. There is a serious problem there.
This store should be investigated for illegal practices, let alone having bad service and such. What they're doing is wrong. Never, ever go here. Go to Staples. They're fair and honest. It's really close, and they have a UPS section in store, with honest, kind employees.
Finally, after she tells me the smallest box she can fit it in, non-priority mail will cost me 80 dollars (not counting the price of them boxing, packaging, taping, labeling etc) I told her I would like to buy a box. I asked for the 16x16x16. She scoffed at me and says, "you will never make this fit." At this point, I was heartbroken, confused, and frustrated. I said, 'well, I can try.' and she rolled her eyes at me.
I took my things home. Everything fit in the box with room to spare. I used a box cutter to shorten the sides. I taped the thing an inch within it's life, and I went to Staples on Route 130. The lady measured it at the counter, 15x15x11. Final price: $21.59, AFTER tax, and it will get there within the week, three days before Christmas, when everyone is shipping boxes and such.
